Nirula Brothers started

Nirula Brother began with Hotel India
in 1934, at D-Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi-1, consist of 12 rooms and a restaurant with a Bar License. In 1940, Nirula's started a large new restaurant at L-Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi, Nirula’s also introduced ballroom dancing and cabaret, it became popular among both Indian and foreign guests. After that the business fluctuated because it was dependent on the quality of evening’s performers, hence the restaurant was given up in approval of the Brasserie. The Brasserie gave way to the first modern Cafeteria
in India, that serves beer and liquor with a variety of dishes.

In 1950, Nirula's started the Chinese Room
. Nirula's created history by being the first Indians to have a Chinese food restaurant in Delhi. Their first chef was Li Wo Po
who came to India with Chiang Kai Shekh.
In 1954, Nirula's introduced espresso coffee in India. Gaggia, the inventors of espresso coffee machines, gave Nirula's the distribution rights for their machines and Nirula's sold these to the luxury hotels and restaurants. With a section for cold meat and products and a seperate section for bakery and confectionery products Nirula's opened another store in 1950. In 1958, Nirula's hotel became the first modern 3-star Hotel in India. In 1960, two restaurants were opened La Boheme and Gufa, the first deluxe restaurant in India, with an amazing style seating and all- silver thali service in a romantic atmosphere.

Expansion
In 1972, Pastry shop was introduced and did extremely well with the opening of the Snack Bar in 1972 and Hot Shoppe in 1977, which were instant successes. In 1985, the Central Kitchen, compromising the fruit section, bulk kitchen, ice cream section and the bakery section was opened at Okhla. In 1987, a laboratory was set up to carefully monitor and test the ingredients for the manufacture of ice creams. In 1980, it was opened in Vasant Vihar, followed by Chanakya in 1981 and Defence Colony in 1986. Nirula's also took over the management of Tej's in November 1985, Karol Bagh (March 1986), New Friends Colony (April 1988), Bungalow Road (October 1990), East of Kailash (August 1994), Gurgaon (January 1998) and Faridabad (February 1998). It was then relocated to Noida in January 1987, and was soon extended to a Hotel in March 1991. In 1994, a food delivery service was started at L-Block, Chanakya and Defence Colony and soon extended to all the units. In April 2002, Nirula's opened their first Highway Hotel at Panipat. In August 2002, complete family restaurant opened at Sushant Lok and Mayur Vihar. Nirula's opened Byte Cyber Bar in December 2000, where the guests can work on the computers and enjoy their drinks too.

BIRTHDAY CLUB: In 1989, Nirula's started a birthday club for children (up to the age of 13 years) and to become a member of the birthday club, the child has to fill up a form mentioning his date of birth and address and drop it at any of our restaurants. On child's birthday a beautiful trendy card was sent to him at his home that entitles to any scoop of ice cream absolutely free at any Nirul's Restaurant and also 10% discount on his birthday cake.
SCHOLAR'S AWARDS: This program instituted by Nirula's in 1991 for school children to encourage their academic excellence. Students securing 90% and above or an overall A
grade in the final exams, was entitled to a free Triple Ice cream Sundae.
FUN SHEETS: These are paper sheets having some comical characters printed on them which are given away free of cost along with wax crayons to the kids visiting our restaurants.

Ice Cream Museum
It was the first ice cream museum in Delhi. Kids used to travel to the museum in a special bus, to witness how an ice cream parlour actually operates, where they could also observe how the machinery works and how ice cream is made, so they could have a multi sensory experience.

Nirula's have always believed in expansion and improvement of it's existing market. In 2018, It was then relocated to Noida (Coldsmith Retail Services Pvt. Ltd). It comprises of expanded production facilities with the latest equipments, started the expansion from limited number of outlets to 150+ and still counting. They introduced these sub-brands like Pan Asian, Batter Days, wrapp'd up, Chaatoos, Cafe Healthy High. They also expanded their existing domain and established new outlets in India. Nirula's is a well known, trusted brand which is known for its high quality and reasonable pricing. The goal is to define and express strong values.

Our legacy of legendary serving include ice creams, sundaes, burgers, pizzas and a lot more. Today we present across 150+ locations in Delhi/NCR, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Lucknow. With an amazing presence of 150+ outlets, we have introduced 51+ flavours of ice creams, sorbets, and summer coolers. The food menu has been revamped with Indian, Pan Asian, Continental, American, Italian and a range of bakery items made in-house French-style bakery using only butter and no oil.
